Lama Tenpa has posted about the latest goings on at Kunzang Palyul Choling: Nothing To Fear
Here we go again.
This is exactly what came out ten years ago in The Buddha From Brooklyn, a biography of KPC’s tulku, Jetsunmma Ahkon Lhamo.
Articles appeared in Mirabella magazine, Tricycle: The Buddhist Review, and The Washington Post magazine … all describing KPC financial fraud and abuse of students.
Which leaves us with three simple questions.
1) Why does Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo need a salary of $100,000 a year — half of KPC’s 501(c)3 operating budget?
(Sherrill 236, 308; Blythe 112)
2) Why does she need her students to buy her three houses?
(Blythe 112; Tenpa blog, cult documents, March 2008; Sherrill 78 )
3) Why does Kunzang Palyul Choling feel the need to confront, confine, and in some cases even physically assault members — and then slander them if they leave?
(Revealing the Truth blog, April 7, 2008; Iyer 80; Sherrill 195, 198, 344; Blythe 113; Tenpa blog, nothing to fear, March 13, 2008)
These questions were asked ten years ago and never answered.
